Les and Nubia Clem are the proud owners of People Place Travel Advisors, a venture fueled by their passion for travel that has been ingrained in them since childhood. Both hailing from military families, the couple experienced frequent relocations, shaping their early connection with exploration and diverse cultures.
Les embarked on his inaugural journey at the age of one, moving from Texas to Ohio. His life has been a tapestry of residences across various U.S. and European states. Meanwhile, Nubia's first move occurred at the age of three, transitioning from Bogotá, Colombia. Her childhood involved multiple relocations within Colombia.
The couple initiated their joint adventure by tying the knot on a picturesque beach in Maui, Hawaii. Over their 20+ years of marriage, Les and Nubia have explored numerous countries across North America, Central America, South America, Europe, and the Caribbean. Pre- and Post-Pandemic, they consistently embarked on one to three cruises annually, showcasing their love for adventure and zest for life.
Their travel escapades include unique experiences such as celebrating Thanksgiving dinner in the Eiffel Tower after flying to Paris, enjoying a birthday dinner cruise on the Seine River, racing in a NASCAR at speeds of about 170 mph, getting all four wheels off the ground while driving a dune buggy in Mexico’s Baja desert, zip-lining from the peak of a mountain down to a beach half a mile away, and following the US Men’s soccer team to a World Cup, among other exhilarating activities. Helicopter rides are a staple for the couple, providing them with a comprehensive view of the areas they visit.
For Les and Nubia, life is an ongoing adventure, and they are dedicated to helping others relish the beauty and diversity of the world as much as they do.
